Escort Series rs Turbo Classic Car Restoration

This Escort Series 2 RS Turbo had been brought into us all the way from Middlesex. After finding us on Google and scoping out our website the delivery of this iconic car was arranged.
This was a new purchase by the customer and when speaking to the customer on the phone it sounded like it needed a number of improvements. On arrival we could see why, this tired escort had lost its presence.
The project...
We started this classic car project by placing the vehicle on the ramp to give it a general check over, we found various oil leaks and so decided to start with the engine.
We removed the engine and gearbox, as well as the cylinder head and replaced all of the gaskets oil filter and oil. The clutch release bearing was extremely noisy noted by the customer, so while the engine was out we replaced the clutch kit. Once the engine had been refitted we carried out a full service, replacing the spark plugs, fuel filter and fitted a few modifications such as an uprated K&N air filter, cooling fan along with new blue boost hoses and dump valve.
Once complete, the vehicle was then ready for a paint so we sent the vehicle to our bodyshop for panel repairs and a full paint job.
After just a few weeks this Escort RS Turbo was back to its formal glory, ready to be presented to our customer to finally enjoy.
