Flashback to the ’80s and ’90s where there were dozens of notable boy racers tearing up the streets in their hot hatches. The sound of loud exhausts, sound systems, burning rubber and police sirens that followed. The 1980s marked a heyday for affordable performance but it also marked the era of car thief especially amongst ford owners. With soring insurance policies these performance cars became unaffordable, until now, the children of the 1980s have grown up and can now recreate their – or their dad’s – youth with owning their own fast ford. 

The late 70’s, 80’s & 90’s were huge years for Ford. The 80’s was a decade when some of the Blue Oval’s most iconic cars were launched. From the cheekiest sporting Fiestas to the most awe-inspiring tyre-shredding Cosworth’s.

There really is just something about an old ford!!

Luckily here at L&J we have the privilege in seeing them passing through our workshop doors and have the great pleasure in being able to either maintain them or bring them back to their former glory.

Not every classic Ford needs a complete restoration, most require maintence work, small repairs and a bit of tinkering now and then. That’s why here at L&J we offer everything from an Oil & Filter change to a carburettor set up to a comprehensive annual service. Our skilled technicians are packed with years of experience and will look after your pride and joy as if it was their own.
